UND Football team plans ‘Holiday Magic from Markus’
GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- The UND football team is pleased to announce it will be conducting its fourth annual Holiday Magic From Markus this Saturday at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. UND football players recently went shopping to purchase gifts for five children who will be spending the holiday season inside Altru Hospital.

Dressler, Wolff named Daktronics All-Americans
GRAND FORKS, N.D.--University of North Dakota junior wide receiver Weston Dressler and senior defensive lineman Adam Wolff have been named to the Daktronics, Inc. Division II All-America Football Team. Dressler was named to the first team, while Wolff was a second team selection.

Sioux comeback bid falls short
ALLENDALE, Mich.—For the second straight season, North Dakota’s bid for an NCAA Division II football championship has ended with a loss at Grand Valley State. The top-ranked Lakers used 27 first-quarter points to upend the eighth-ranked Sioux 30-20 this afternoon at Lubbers Stadium in the NCAA quarterfinal.

GRAND FORKS, N.D.--University of North Dakota junior receiver Weston Dressler and senior free safety Michael Greenwood have been named to the 2006 ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America First Team in a vote of the nation’s college sports information directors.

UND renews playoff rivalry with GVSU
GRAND FORKS, N.D.--Eighth-ranked UND travels to Allendale, Mich., to renew its playoff acquaintance with top-ranked Grand Valley State in the NCAA quarterfinal round on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 11:37 a.m. Central time.
