    Thanks Joe,
    We considered that possibility as well, but don't think that is the case
    here. The lady using it can telnet in for email and keep the
    connection up while she is typing a mail, etc. Unless telnet
    continually pings the server, where kppp does not, then that would lead
    me to believe the server is not dropping the connection.
