Hamilton Music Awards 2006
At this years Hamilton Music Awards, Grant Avenue Studio and staff were nominated for a total of eight awards. Bob Doidge was named 'Bassist of the Year', and Amy King received the 'Recording Engineer of the Year' award. Grant Avenue Studio was also named ' Recording Studio of the Year' for the third year in a row. Special congratulations go out to Splash'N Boots (Nick & Taes Adams) who's album 'Popcorn, Pickles, and Parrots' was named 'Children's Album of the Year'. Collaboration with local radio station Y-108
In September of 2004, Grant Avenue Studio commenced a collaboration with local radio station Y-108 for a series of live broadcasts. This venture has brought acclaimed acts such as the Tea Party, Collective Soul, Finger Eleven, 54 40, Matt Mays, Tom Wilson, the Music, Boy, Ian Thornley, the Waking Eyes, The Trews, Theory of a Deadman, Default, Rocketface and Idle Sons to Grant Avenue. More appearances are scheduled for the near future.
Paul Riemens: ‘Plain & Simple’
