Troy Matteson shot a second consecutive 3-under 70 and at -6 has quietly climbed the Mercedes leaderboard into sixth place. Will MacKenzie's even-par 73 in the third round of the Mercedes-Benz Championship leaves him tied for fourth place, three strokes behind leader Vijay Singh. MacKenzie's round was reminiscent of his kayaking past, an up-and-down ride. He used five birdies to offset five bogeys and remained in contention going into Sunday's final round.
