Hi everybody, and welcome to my web pages. My name is Geir Arne Hjelle, and I am a happy 29 year old. I was born and raised in a small town called Andenes in the north of Norway, but since 1997 I have lived in Trondheim. The summer of 2002 I finished my Master's degree in mathematics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). My diploma thesis was about quasidisks.

Since August 1st, 2002 I have been a research fellow at the Department of mathematical sciences at NTNU. Here I have finished my PhD degree in complex analysis with Kristian Seip as my supervisor. The title of my PhD project is "Approximations by interpolating Blaschke products". The summer of 2004 and the spring of 2005 I was at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. This stay in Spain was part of my PhD program.

In the fall I will move to St. Louis, USA. There I will work as a post.doc. at Washington University.

Unfortunately, most of the pages at my web site are in Norwegian (well, Norwegian is my native language), but I have kept some of my pages in English as well. In addition to using the menu at the bottom of the page (in Norwegian), you may look at the links to the left.
