Robert College Child Study Center

The Child Study Center is a laboratory setting for students who are taking Psychology and Child Psychology lessons for learning psychology through observation and first hand experiences.

In this center 3-6 year old children are educated by using developmentally appropriate approaches in a challenging and exciting environment.

The educational program at the center is designed to develop self-confidence, self-esteem, self-competence, independence, initiative , creativity, empathy, problem solving and thinking skills in children.

In the Child Study Center, the children themselves are actively planning their learning processes and therefore promote many opportunities for participating in their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.

Teachers at the Child Study Center encourage play and exploration, employ the best methods for engaging with children, their development and learning by doing for both direct and indirect acquisition of new knowledge and skills.  Teachers are also using strategies that encourage children to communicate positively and effectively, as well as to understand one another.

Teachers consider parents as colleagues and cooperate with them in their children’s development.

The daily program is from 7:30 am to 15:15 pm.  It is attended by 40 children between 3-6 years. The staff consists of one director and four teachers.
