Are any of you guys even listening to the record. The Clipse come with fury and are great lyrically and have The Neptunes for the icing on the cake. Jay-Z's album was disappointing and The Game is not bad but his lyrics aren't the greatest. Sine Nas just came out I have only been able to listen to it about 2 times through and so far it has let me down the most. I was really thinking Nas' album would be th best Hip Hop album this but he has not gotten better with age.

While Clipse's album is solid, Nas's-Hip Hop Is Dead is easily the best rap album of the year.

this is a great allbum but does not have the music to be the best album of 2006
that would be nas hip hop is dead or possibly lupe's food and liqour or games doctors advocate

hip hop is more than rapping about crack. thus the best hip hop album of 2006 should have more depth than that. besides the obvious choices of jay-z, nas, and what have u...can you say the roots? "game theory."

I really dont hear what all the fuss is about. It isn't even as good as their last ablum. Kingdome Come is the best hip-hop album of the year!

I disagree with E.S. Well, partially. What do you want to know about the Funeral? Because that's not even old for them, man. They were still with the Neptunes then. I agree that white critics are falling in love with crack rap but the white audience isn't. Clipse will go Gold, MAYBE platinum, if they're lucky. As good as the album is, the audience hasn't caught up... it'll be awhile more before music like this is appreciated.

The Clipse are finally getting their shine now that the bloggers and hipsters are all ga-ga over crack rap. I've been respecting these dudes since "The Funeral" days. (what you hipsters know about that?)They are talented and this album sounds unlike any other hip-hop album you'll ever hear. Still, there is something sort of disturbing to me about the majority white music criticism community falling in love with crack rap. Call me crazy.

The CLIPSE are the most underrated MC's in the game....period!! LIKE JAY-Z SAID, "YOUR WORD IS EVERYTHING/SO EVERYTHING YOU SAID YOU'D DO/YOU DID IT/COULDN'T TALK ABOUT IT/ IF YOU AIN'T LIVE IT", THIS ALBUM WILL BE PLAYED 10 YEARS FROM NOW AND STILL HIT HARD!!!! IT'S A CLASSIC!!

Luge shouldn't hate Mrs. Rosen, what company do you review for Luge? Exactly, anyways, I have been waiting for the Clipse's return, it's on my must buy list. Good to hear that it won't disappoint.

And who is Jody Rosen again? Wow Clipse the best at anything besides rapping about crack? I guess the rap game is really changing...
