Not everyone comes off as that happy with it though. As the story has gone on there are a lot of posts being copied between different sites attributed to different members of the Houseband. Over at Television Without Pity one shows up that begins with "Nate (Morton, drummer from the Houseband) just sent me this..." which would purport to be a response from the Houseband. I'll leave it up to you to decide the legitimacy of the posts, but it gets into some of the details from the band's perspective.
Storm, Magni, and the Houseband get the boot
Strange things are afoot at the Circle K. While there is no official word from the band, it seems that Storm Large, Magni, and the Houseband have all been axed from the upcoming Rockstar: Supernova tour. Trying to piece together why is where things get a little muddy. Storm posted a somewhat tongue in cheek entry on her website confirming that they have all been dropped. She brings up that the decision was a financial one and is pretty gracious about asking people to still support everyone involved.

'Rock Star' band Supernova changes its name
The battle over the name Supernova was going on throughout this past season of CBS's Rockstar. In the end, a judge ruled that Tommy Lee and his band could not record or perform using the name. That left everyone, some of us anyway, wondering just what the new name would be, and now we have that answer.
Rock Star Supernova
Yeah, ok. I'm a little underwhelmed by that. I suppose it's different enough to get around the legalities, but if you are going to go to the trouble of changing the name anyway, why not go back to the drawing board and do it right? The band is currently at work on their record with a tour kicking off over the New Year's holiday. And if you just can't wait, they have released two songs, complete with Lukas Rossi vocals, on Yahoo music.

Rockstar: Supernova: Finale
(S02E22) Well, as was reported earlier, they won't really be called Supernova now that a judge has ruled they can't use that name but the ragtag rockers have picked their lead singer. Like Big Brother's finale last night, this one was a total snore resulting in a reveal that everyone already knew anyway (anyone who reads internet rumors that is).
Rock Star: Supernova has to find a new name
Hey, guess what? You can't steal another band's name, dude. A judge ruled that Tommy Lee's band has to change its name after the finale of CBS' Rock Star: Supernova, because another band already has the name 'Supernova'. The original Supernova is a punk trio out of Orange County, California. They filed suit earlier this summer and got an injunction yesterday to prevent CBS, creator Mark Burnett and every member of the band from performing or recording under the name Supernova.
The new Rock Star band, whatever they're going to be called, goes on tour starting on December 31. Maybe we'll find out their new name when they crown a winner tonight?

Rock Star: Supernova: Last Performance Night
This is the last chance for the rockers to do their thing to impress the voting fans and they really do give it their all. But first a blast from the past. Ryan Star got the nod to do the encore based on fan votes and sings his original Back Of Your Car. His album will be called Dark Horse (after his name on the show) and he wins a car. Sometimes it seems like the ones who already left the show are getting the better deal.

Rock Star: Supernova: Week 10 Elimination
(S02E20) There's been talk for weeks about a fix being in on Supernova. Certainly with every reality show I have to ask myself how much is truly the natural evolution of the game and how much is about what makes good television. With a competition like this it's even more tempting to speculate. After all, if you were creating a new band and putting your faith in a new lead singer, would you leave it up to fate or the whim of the public? In this case, I think Supernova might do well to listen to what the fans are telling them.
Rock Star: Supernova: Week 10 Performances
(S02E19) This week we learn what the watchers of webisodes have known all along, Dilana can't write songs and Lukas doesn't think he needs to try too hard. Both Lukas and Dilana are talented and have been fan favorites since the beginning of the show but neither one of them has really had to battle too hard to stay at the top of the heap. That ends tonight.
Rock Star: Supernova: Week 9 Elimination
(S02E18) Tonight was the much anticipated (at least by me) chance to see Lukas finally play with Supernova. Is it just me or did the room suddenly turn golden when he took the stage? Now I love Lukas like a fat kid loves cake but I did notice that he doesn't interact with the band as well as Toby did. I still think the goth leprechaun would be better as a solo act.
Rock Star: Supernova winner leaked?
I don't even know how this is possible. Hollywood gossip columnist Janet Charlton swears she knows who will win Rock Star: Supernova and even goes so far as to reveal the winner's name on her website. How does she know this when the show is live? The season finale and grand reveal of who will lead the new Supernova band is scheduled for September 13th.
The name of the supposed winner is after the jump:

Rock Star: Supernova: Week 9 Peformances
(S02E17) Dilana is still reacting from her bad night and her meltdown makes it worse. When the camera comes around at the house, she smashes a glass and runs off. The glass hits Magni on the forehead. All that drama comes to naught everyone is all business by song time. It was fan choice night for the rockers giving us an insight into how the voters really see each singer.
Rock Star: Supernova: Week 8 Elimination
(S02E16) My my, Dilana has a high opinion of herself. She proved this week that she is no media darling. Boasting about her large fan base is not a way to encourage voting. Ryan feels that Dilana is not humble or kind to those who are not as popular ( conveniently forgetting his own treatment of Dana). When the rockers have their press day, Dilana says that Lukas is moody and Toby and Magni are not serious about the band. Honesty or total self-destruction, I'm not sure but she sure isn't winning any fans inside the house.
Rock Star: Supernova: Week 8 Performances
(S02E15) The song selection battle gives us a chance to see Dilana naked (nice abs) and Storm feeling angsty and sad until her magical Verizon phone makes it all okay. This week everyone gets a little more competitive. All of the real clunkers are gone but that doesn't mean that there aren't still a few shabby performances in the mix. Not that Dave Navarro and the Supernova guys would notice, tonight they seem to love everyone. Must be the calming influence of Gilby's dog Chopper.
Rock Star: Supernova: Week 7 Elimination
(S02E14) This week Supernova decides to play with one of the rockers. They ask the audience who should play and the response is loud. Dilana. Cut to a shot of Lukas looking deeply annoyed. Sure enough, Dilana gets the honor of being the first to test out a Supernova song. She's got the look and she definitely doesn't get lost in front of the boys. But will that raspy voice hold out for weeks and weeks of concert touring? Also, (and I hate myself for saying this) would the band be better served by having someone younger as the lead singer?
Rockstar: Supernova: Week 7 Perfomances
One of the problems with performance-based shows is that as the group of contestants gets smaller the amount of filler gets higher. Unfortunately since most of what we have seen of the "rockers" has been onstage, watching them cavort drunkenly is like watching strangers. Last season we got a bit more of the dynamics of the group. This season's crowd is both more seasoned and less fun. Even their letting off of steam looks like work.
Rock Star: Supernova: Week 6 Elimination
(S02E12) On Big Brother, much of the talk is of getting rid of the "floaters" who are just coasting along. The same is necessary for Rock Star and tonight Supernova took another step in that direction. After all, the surviving contestants tonight get to go to Vegas and not everyone there is Vegas worthy. Check out Dave Navarro's blog, even he is getting restless. And so the double elimination is no suprise but who goes is.
