On March 2, 1994, Zion Bible College was approved by the Board of Governors to grant Baccalaureate degrees in Bible.
Association of Biblical Higher Education
In February 2001, Zion Bible College received its accreditation from the Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE), a leader in advancing and assuring quality Biblical Higher Education throughout North America. The ABHE is recognized by the Department of Education in Washington D.C. and is a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Assemblies of God
Zion Bible College operates under the auspices of the Southern New England District of the Assemblies of God, and in addition is sponsored by the Northern New England District and the New York District of the Assemblies of God. Zion Bible College is an endorsed college of the Assemblies of God in Springfield, Missouri.
Commission on Christian Higher Education
Zion Bible College is recognized by the Commission on Christian Higher Education in Springfield, Missouri as an endorsed school.
Evangelical Training Association
Zion holds membership with the Evangelical Training Association. This qualifies the Institute to award the ETA Teaching Diploma to those students who meet the requirements.
Zion Bible College has been approved by the Rhode Island State Department of Higher Education for the training of veterans who are entitled to educational benefits under existing laws. Any veteran wishing to attend Zion under the provisions of these laws should make application to his/her local Veterans Administration Office for approval. The school will gladly assist veterans in securing benefits under the Title 38 program.
