The National Alliance Party has welcomed the appointment of the Military Commander Frank Bainimarama as Interim PM of the country.

Party spokesperson Kini Rarubi said that the President under the constitution has the authority to select the PM and we should respect his decision.
The National Federation Party believes it may be difficult for Commodore Frank Bainimarama to fulfill the roles of Interim Prime Minister and Military Commander.
NFP General Secretary Pramod Rae said the Commander's actions shows true military dictatorship in the country.
The Fiji Trade Union Council believes that President Ratu Josefa Iloilo has exercised his wisdom in appointing the military commander as the interim Prime Minister.
FTUC General Secretary and FLP member Felix Anthony said he respects the decision and hopes that other appointments are also done with similar insight:
