Kuala Lumpur, Aug 3, IRNA

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here Thursday said that the bullying powers have materialized the real holocaust in Palestine. The president made the remark at the emergency summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). Ahmadinejad said that some Western powers paved the way for establishment of the Zionist government in Palestine on the pretext of compensating the losses of the survivors of World War II. "Thus they usurped the land of a nation, displaced millions of its citizens, took the lives of thousands and captivated thousands of people. "The claimed holocaust was in practice materialized in the land of Palestine," he added. The president said that it is obvious that the Zionist regime is fake and without legal and legitimate foundation. "It later became obvious that the establishment of the regime actually aimed to set up a base in the center of the Islamic region for permanent threats, aggressions and suppression. "The establishment of the Zionist regime prevented convergence and unity among the regional as well as Islamic nations and governments and the seed of permanent discord was sowed," he noted. A major part of the current discord in the world of Islam and among Middle East nations are the fruits of the existence as well as the plots and actions of the Zionist regime. "In principal, the mission of the imposed regime is to threaten, be aggressive and create discord to prepare easily the ground for the hegemony of the big powers. "In the face of support for the existence and security of this regime, there is the point of unity among Western big powers, who find their interests materialized by defending it," he said. The president said that what took place in Lebanon in recent weeks and is still continuing shows that the US, Britain and a significant number of Western states consider no boundary to their political, propagandist, financial and arms support for the Zionist regime. "All claims about defending human rights, the nations right to decide their fate, respect for people's and governments' sovereignty as well as respecting borders are sacrificed for the sake of the Zionist regime. "This is while, avoiding killing of ordinary and helpless people as well as not using banned weapons such as cluster bombs in support of the Zionist regime has no meaning," added the president. He said that these states believe that Lebanon should not defend its rights. "The believe that as manifestation of the resistance of Lebanese people and the present symbol of Muslims resistance, Hizbollah should not defend the land of Lebanon and its people, rather should stay away to let the Zionist regime advance Beirut and enable the regime's supporters to continue any type of aggression," he said. President Ahmadinejad underlined that defense of the Zionist regime is so significant that the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) should be sacrificed for the sake of it. "The UNSC, which is bound to defend legitimate rights in case of the sovereignty of countries and their security as well as promote regional and global security, fails to fulfill its most basic duty and opposes cease-fire. "Thus does the UN have any reputation, while a few bullying powers make instrumental use of it to achieve their political goals and their own interests. This is a painful disaster for the United Nations," said President Ahmadinejad

Leftar1.gif (851 bytes) President considers Zionists aggression on Lebanon as unusual

Kuala Lumpur, Aug 3, IRNA

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here Thursday said that the Zionist regime's attack on Lebanon is not a normal aggression of a country by a government, but that its dimensions and goals are more extensive. Speaking at the emergency summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), he referred to the declaration of the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that the war will continue until the new Middle East plan is materialized and said that her remark shows that the war initiated by Israel had been pre-planned. "Through such aggression they intend to break a major part of the resistance in the Islamic world against the extremism and selfishness of bullying powers and pave the way for complete hegemony over Lebanon and the region," he said. Ahmadinejad noted that they failed to create an atmosphere of panic and terror in the region, resembling that in Iraq, to suppress any other resistance in countries neighboring the Zionist entity. "Once more, these powers strengthen the dishonored Zionist government, which is on the verge of collapse, undermine domestic resistance in occupied territories and its government-elect or intend to eliminate them from the scene. The whole world is a witness to what the Zionist regime is doing in occupied lands. "It attacks and raids defenseless residents of these territories or assassinates their leaders in accordance with preplanned plots," he added. Ahmadinejad said, "As part of the world of Islam, we have grave responsibilities and can impede the ongoing bullying and aggressions by making correct decisions and choosing a proper approach to the issue in line with human ideals and values as well as resources of the world nations and thus alleviate the pains and sufferings of the Lebanese people and victims. "Though elimination of the Zionist regime is the main solution to the current crisis, at this stage a cease-fire should be immediately established. "Any violation of the internationally recognized borders of Lebanon should also be stopped. Peace and security in Lebanon and its borders should be maintained by the Lebanese government and nation," he said. The president said that the presence of foreign troops supporting the Zionist regime in the country is unacceptable, unless it takes place fairly on the basis of United Nations regulations. Ahmadinejad urged that the unity and integrity of Lebanon should be protected under any condition, adding that the way should be paved for repatriation of displaced Lebanese people. "Prisoners should be exchanged. The losses in Lebanon caused by the aggressors and their supporters, in particular the US and Britain who are among the Zionist regime's accomplices, should be compensated. The governments of these two states should be accountable for their crimes in Lebanon," he said. The president said that today a heavy burden rests upon the shoulders of Muslim governments and nations, adding that the decisions taken at this meeting can have a great impact on stopping the aggressions and preventing further attacks. The chief executive said that formation of a government of unity in Palestine through referendum is the only way for the salvation of the region. Underlining that original inhabitants of Palestine, including those residing overseas, should participate in such a referendum, the president said that as long as the Zionist regime is not eliminated, threats, chaos and conspiracies will continue. Ahmadinejad said that Iran welcomes the proposal on formation of the Islamic states contact group to pursue the decisions taken at this meeting.
