The Owasys mobile phone was launched in 2005 by the RNIB, as the mobile for visually impaired people. In November 2005 I tested one, and this review is what I discovered.

The Owasys aims to be a simple to use mobile phone, specifically designed for use by visually impaired people. The buttons are well spaced, making it easy to navigate around the keypad, reducing the possibility of accidentally pressing the wrong button. Users found that the button layout was simple and easy to use, though one older user did comment that the buttons were not distinctive enough.
