Recap | Box Score
  • Forward Luke Walton did not practice Tuesday and is unlikely to play Thursday against Detroit or Friday against Toronto, Jackson said. Walton has missed six games because of a sprained right ankle. "He's getting frustrated with the situation," Jackson said. "It's longer than he ever thought it would be." • Brian Cook received a DNP-coach's decision in Monday's game against the Hawks. Cook has not seen action of two of the past three contests and is averaging just 3.4 PPG in his past five contests since Lamar Odom returned from injury. Feel free to drop the forward in all leagues with the diminished role. (Feb. 05, - 10:21 PM EST)

  • Andrew Bynum, who continues to start at center with Kwame Brown sidelined, came through with 14 points and 10 rebounds in Monday's win over Atlanta. The 19-year-old Bynum has now compiled five double-doubles in his previous eight games and will likely continue playing steady minutes in the frontcourt even after Brown returns. Bynum even tossed up a 3-pointer that went in and out - it would have been the first of his career. (Feb. 05, - 10:04 PM EST)

  • Tyrus Thomas says he learned a lesson after shooting his mouth off about the slam dunk contest. Fined by the Bulls $10,000 for essentially suggesting he was only in the contest for the money, Thomas says he will be more clear in the future. ''I just take it as a lesson learned,'' Thomas said. ''You've got to say exactly what you mean.'' Thomas is considering appealing the fine, a move that just may prompt the NBA to rescind his invitation to the All-Star proceedings altogether, the Sun-Times suggests. • Adam Morrison got his first start in over a month Wednesday night. This wasn't a reward, but rather a necessity with Derek Anderson and Brevin Knight unable to go. With Knight unable to go, Coach Bickerstaff needed Jeff McInnis to come off the bench. Morrison wasn't horrible (5-for-9, 10 points in 26 minutes), but he isn't contributed in rebounds or assists and has now gone three straight games without nailing a 3-pointer.
