I know, because I also have a crummy LP knockoff (an Epiphone LP Standard). Well, it's alright, but the real thing knocks its spots off. Hence the real thing being four times the price... :-/

Well I just recieved in the post today...



Wesley Jasper. Parallelogram blue acrylic body, full scale, with a simple humbucker pickup. Was only £60 on eBay, including delivery, and I think it's pretty phunkay.

Haha, looks awesome, Phil. Wesley are notoriously shit though, and especially at that price, your guitar will sound like absolute dog-meat to a seasoned guitarist (not to be a cunt). Still, that's not the point of guitars like that, it's just supposed to be cool. As long as you like it ^_^

Yeah, well I just wanted something different. And if I need something that sounds better, I always have my Squier Strat (if you can call that better...).

My mate got a Wesley Vingage last week, which is an SG copy. And it's a pretty crappy SG copy... but the good thing is with mine you can't compare it to anything else, it's unique ^^ Think I might buy some new tuners for it, apparently they're not so good, accoring to what I've been reading. We'll see how it goes.

Eww, Squire. Okay, the best advice I can give you is; Yamaha Pacifica 112. Yamaha are the kings of budget guitars. It's constantly rated the best guitar you can get for under £200 in guitar magazines, and it really is worthy of that reputation. If I were you, I'd sell my Squire, and pick up a nice Yamaha Pacifica 112, in decent condition, off eBay for around £70 second-hand. It really is a lovely little guitar for the price, and generally a really decent guitar in it's own right.

Was in one of our usual haunts, "Music Town" today, AKA Denmark Street, London (thanks to GR for telling me aboot it ages ago) with Sue earlier today - saw a shit load of nice guitars.

My Squire does me fine because I'm shit at guitar, but I have seen what money does in terms of quality. Sue's cousin's Ibanez is the KING for rock, and her other cousin's real Fender is gorgeous.

When I save up and get good (hopefully) at the instrument, I'll be after:

I had an Epi Les Paul Goldtop, sold it cos Les pauls are overrated and *shit* (and everyone has them) and got a Tele instead.

Well thats just an Epiphone though..thats like saying Strats are crap based on a Squier. I have a Strat and a Les Paul, the Les Paul is in a league above the Strat though, partially because I could easily get a higher end strat than the one I have admittedly, but you could hardly say they are "shit".
