What Is The Baby Gender Mentor Test?

The Baby Gender Mentor Test (“Test”) seeks to identify the presence of male or female fetal genetic materials in the mother's blood.  If only male fetal genetic materials are present in the mother's blood, the mother is likely carrying one or more baby boys.  If only female fetal genetic materials are present in the mother's blood, the mother is likely carrying one or more baby girls.  If both male and female fetal genetic materials are present in the mother's blood, the mother is likely carrying at least one baby boy and at least one baby girl.

By Submitting A Blood Sample, What Do I Authorize Acu-Gen To Do?

By submitting a blood sample, you authorize Acu-Gen to test your blood sample for the presence of certain DNA and RNA markers that identify the gender of a fetus.  In addition, you authorize Acu-Gen to utilize your test sample/data on an anonymous basis for quality control, for DNA/RNA detection research, and for DNA/RNA detection product development or studies.  Your personal information will never be disclosed.

How Do I Prevent Contamination Of My Blood Sample?

You must carefully follow the Directions for Blood Sample Collection on the insert in the Test kit.  Contamination of your blood sample may occur if you do not strictly follow the Directions.  If Acu-Gen determines or is concerned (in its sole discretion) that your blood sample is contaminated, Acu-Gen will not process the sample.  If your blood sample is rejected because it is contaminated, Acu-Gen will not refund the price you paid for the Test kit but Acu-Gen will refund the price you paid for laboratory analysis.

Why Do I Have To Carefully Follow The Test Kit Directions?

To make the result of the Test as accurate as possible, it is very important that you carefully follow the easy step-by-step Directions for Blood Sample Collection on the insert in the Test kit.  If you do not strictly follow the Directions, you may contaminate your blood sample.  A contaminated blood sample may result in an inaccurate or inconclusive Test result.  If Acu-Gen does not issue a result because of concerns that Directions may not have been strictly followed, Acu-Gen will not refund the price you paid for the Test kit but Acu-Gen will refund the price you paid for laboratory analysis.

Under What Circumstances Would I Be Eligible For A Refund?

Acu-Gen stands behind the accuracy and reliability of its test.  Refund eligibility is set forth in Acu-Gen’s LIMITED WARRANTY.  Please carefully read the Limited Warranty, found on our Web Site and in this insert, for details.

If the blood sample that you submit to Acu-Gen is determined (in Acu-Gen’s sole discretion) to be contaminated, Acu-Gen will not refund the price you paid for the Test kit but Acu-Gen will refund the price you paid for laboratory analysis.

If the result of your Test is INCONCLUSIVE, Acu-Gen will not refund the price you paid for the Test kit but Acu-Gen will refund the price you paid for laboratory analysis.  If the result of your Test is INCONCLUSIVE, if you request, Acu-Gen will also send you a new Test kit free of charge so that you can take the Test again and submit a new blood sample.

How Accurate Is The Baby Gender Mentor Test?

The Baby Gender Mentor Test is highly accurate.  Baby Gender Mentor's early prenatal gender detection test is based on established qPCR technology that, when properly administered by a qualified laboratory, has been proven highly accurate in detecting targeted DNA markers.  Baby Gender Mentor goes one step beyond standard qPCR detection technology, by confirming every gender result with a second test using proprietary new technology based on fetal RNA detection.

Hundreds of obstetricians and gynecologists have successfully utilized qPCR gender detection technology for more than a decade.

Although highly accurate in detecting the presence of fetal genetic materials in a mother's blood, there is a possibility that the Test result will be INCONCLUSIVE.  In addition, on rare occasions there is a possibility that the Test result may be INCONSISTENT with the gender stated on a baby's birth certificate.
