Why PFAW Fights for Election Reform
1/31/07 - On Election Day last fall in Maryland, fliers were handed out in black neighborhoods with the heading “Democratic Sample Ballot” and photos of black Democratic leaders — and boxes checked off beside the names of the Republican candidates for senator and governor. They were a blatant attempt to fool black voters into thinking the Republican candidates were endorsed by black Democrats. - The New York Times.

Remembering Fr. Robert Drinan
Young People For

Father Robert Drinan, constitutional law professor, former member of Congress, progressive champion, and longtime People For the American Way board member, died Sunday, January 28 at age 86. PFAW President Ralph G. Neas remembered the much-honored Drinan as “a voice of conscience for the nation and a passionate lifelong advocate for constitutional liberties, peace, and the values of freedom, fairness, and opportunity for all.” Drinan attended a PFAW board meeting just two weeks before his death.   Read More >>
