Kent Skov is a genius pure and simple. Woody Allen was apparently the
originator of this concept of dubbing movies with funny dialogue. Allen did
it back in 1965 with a Japanese movie, probably because no other movie was
available for dubbing. But whereas Allen produces guffaws only occasionally,
Mr. Skov is pitiless. Every word uttered is hilarious. The unrelenting
tickling can be overwhelming. After such an experience one becomes a comedy
addict. I vividly remember laughing with these "Mad Movies" and miss them
very much. The only flaw was that they were invariably B-movies. The dream
would be to dub some prestigious, big movie, say Casablanca! Skov belongs on
TV, not in obscurity, as do all his talented players.
