The Doris Tate Crime Victims Foundation

The Doris Tate Crime Victims Foundation was formed in 1995. The foundation was created in an effort to expand upon the work of the Crime Victims Bureau in its efforts to help victims of violent crime.

The Doris Tate Crime Victims Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Our Mission

The Doris Tate Crime Victims Foundation educates, supports and advocates for the rights of victims of violent crime.

 

Our Vision

To educate the members of the criminal justice system, legislators, and society at large to value and be sensitive to the needs of victims

To ensure there is continuous support for victims of violent crime

To advocate for the rights of victims of violent crime at institutional, societal and personal levels and to guarantee those rights are sustained for future victims

 

Our Services

Please note - the Doris Tate Crime Victims Foundation (DTCVF) is based out of California.  Accompaniment Services are available in CA only and on a limited basis.  All of our services (excluding professional services) are free of charge.  DTCVF services are primarily provided by volunteers.  Please allow 24 - 48 hours for a return phone call.  Thank you for your patience.

The Doris Tate Crime Victims Foundation provides the following services:

Referrals to assistance programs -  state or private

Referrals to support groups in CA

Assistance with compiling impact statements for sentencing or parole hearings (victims/survivors)

Victim/Survivor Preparation for speaking at parole hearings

Accompaniment to court proceedings (limited availability)

Accompaniment to Parole Hearings (limited availability)

Advocacy and Information Assistance

Homicide Survivor Support Group (Sacramento)

Stalking Survivor Support Group (Sacramento)
