October 20, 2003 - It's been a while in the coming, but Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge is finally upon us. After plenty of retooling, reworking and basically redoing, the game has finally been deemed to be up to the high expectations of Microsoft, and therefore ready to be popped in the trays of millions of Xboxes. The title puts players in the cockpit of aircraft-a-plenty. While today's planes use cowardly long-range missiles to destroy targets they never come within miles of, these planes are meant for up-close combat. Your machineguns are your best friend, with your heated rockets a means to destroy much larger foes, like giant zeppelins attempting to shoot you in the head. Add in Xbox Live! support, and Crimson Skies sounds like a winner. So, is it? Has the time and patience that Microsoft has given to the product been worth it? IGNXbox's EIC Aaron Boulding lays down the final word. Check out the following video review to decide if Crimson Skies is worthy of your playtime or not.
