Because if you enjoy Outpost Gallifrey, please recognize that it costs me money... the traffic we get means we pay for it. All of it comes out of my pocket, too -- that would be me, your editor, the only person who operates this site. For the Outpost Gallifrey site (including the Doctor Who Forum), we use a single dedicated server, and it costs a lot of money for server usage and bandwidth. Simply put, our dedicated server costs $275 US per month, which comes out of my pocket. Purchasing through Amazon makes up for a small bit of that (though by absolutely no means is a profit ever made; the amount we raise only begins to make a dent!) Book availability: Usually, at Amazon some books may not be available, but they has a large network of used bookstores and specialty shops that they'll inquire with FOR YOU.
