Rainbow Hotpants

Inspired by the unlikely combination of Thai fishermans pants and memories of 70s roller derby fashion, these hot pants are a great way to show off your assets and show a little pride.

A rundown on the design features of these hip little shorts:

Ingredients

(For S/M sizes)

All yarns Berrocco Cotton Twist (70% Cotton, 30% Rayon, 1.75 oz/ 50 g) Colours:

Gauge

4″ x 4″ = 18 sts X 22 rows in St st

Sizing/ Fitting

The shorts are meant to be worn tight and are sized to stretch to fit. Actual dimensions pictured are misleading as they are smaller than the target body measurements.

Fitting Indications Below

Top Hip (Circumference around top hip bones): 34, (37 1/2 )″ Hip (Circumference around widest point of hips): 36 1/2 , (40)″

Method

Colour Change

For both sizes, all panels will cast on with red and the first 7 rows will continue in that colour. Subsequently, change colour after every 8 rows in the following order: Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet continue until end of panel.
