Pros
  • Not just for gaming – included functional programs like a calendar, electronic organizer
  • Had a touch screen
  • Basic internet capabilities
  • Catered to mature gamers

Cons
  • Small game library
  • Little support
  • Poor marketing

Why it Failed
Game.com was essentially an electronic organizer that featured games. Tiger acquired licenses for games such as Doom, Resident Evil, and Mortal Kombat specifically to cater to mature gamers, but in the end, there were only about twenty games available on the system. Combined with poor marketing and the Game Boy going color in 1997, the grey display seemed outdated.

Little Known Facts
The most little known thing about Game.com just may be the high profile games that were featured on the system. Resident Evil, Metal gear Solid, and Duke Nukem all made appearances on the Tiger's system, but nobody ever knew due to Tiger's poor marketing.

Notable Titles
Metal Gear Solid
Resident Evil 2
Duke Nukem
Batman and Robin
