Ralph Fiennes, UNICEF UK Ambassador

Ralph Fiennes is an award-winning actor, considered to be one of the leading actors of his generation. Ralph is probably best known for his roles in Schindler's List and The English Patient.
Involved with UNICEF since 1999, Ralph has visited UNICEF projects in Romania and Uganda. Passionately committed to UNICEF's work, Ralph was appointed a UK Ambassador in 2001.
In October 2003, Ralph visited Kyrgystan to learn more about UNICEF's work with vulnerable children.

Ralph Fiennes says:
"...people were asking 'How was your trip to Uganda?' and I say, well, it was devastating and depressing, but amidst the things that are depressing, I met some extraordinary people. And I carry that very strongly as a memory...I feel very privileged to have met them."
