What are Code Tools? - Code mods that are made to work on or with your existing save game.
Updated 22 Sept 2006; ALL Code Tools support GTA:SA EXE v2.0

Updated 23 Sept 2006; Anybody downloading Pillager or Rebirth prior to this date will need to download it again. spaceeinstein sabotaged the SCM INI and as a result, the code used by these tools was faulty. Problem fixed. Mission Passers development was unaffected by this error

How do I use them? - Save your current game. Backup your /data/script/main.scm by renaming it to something like mainORIGINAL.scm. Now put the SCM file from the Tool's ZIP into your data folder and rename it to main.scm like the original was. Load up your game. Most of the games features will behave as in the original game with the difference being whatever that Code Tool was meant to accomplish. You may continue to play the game. Or if you'd like to revert to the original code, either destroy or rename the Code Tool SCM and replace it with your original one. Anytime you want to swap SCM files, you have to save first and load afterwards. Load your save you just made and continue playing as you would.

What makes Code Tools so special? - First and foremost, because they are designed to work with your existing game, something previously thought next to impossible and/or worthless. Also, there are SOME things that trainers aren't made to do that some of the tools can.

THE CURRENT COLLECTION OF SA CODE TOOLS

Pillager v1.1 (2.15 MB) - This Code Tool serves as a replacement for the original game's SCM. In game menu allows you to highlight tags, oysters, and horseshoes left in YOUR game, as well as adding a marker to all photo ops, essentially rendering them visible for easier capture. Not a cheat.

Mission Passers (1.55 MB) - This Code Tool serves as a replacement for the original game's SCM. Those familiar with Time Vault already know how this works. Walk into the starting sphere of any mission that it supports, and you are automaticaly credited as passing the mission, including all storyline progressions that go with it. Becaus I'm human, there's a risk that I've overlooked something that will impact the way the rest of your game progresses. Most anything that could occur this way will be fixable, but it needs to be reported. Right now, it only supports a few key missions. Anyways, save your game, swap the files back, load up the save you just made, and off you go!

Rebirth v1.1 (2.15 MB) - This Code Tool serves as a replacement for the original game's SCM. The ONLY change is that if you fail most missions, a timer will appear. Press Aim and Sprint together while that timer is going and you will be warped back to where you started the mission. If the mission was Taxi Driver for example, you will be placed into the same vehicle, in the same spot, traveling in the same speed direction as when you started the mission. Especially helpful for making it back to the top of Mt. Chiliad! Though the timer is only 15 seconds, I wanted to point out that if you save your game with the timer onscreen, that save will not be compatible with the original code. Simply wait for the timer to expire and then save. Or if you've accidentally saved with it, just load it up with Rebirth and let the timer expire and save again. Does not support all missions.
