The 1998 Prince Claus Awards

The Principal Award for ‘The Art of African Fashion’ went to the fashion designer Alphadi from Niger, Oumou Sy from Senegal and Tetteh Adzedu from Ghana. An additional thirteen Prince Claus Awards were presented. The 1998 Prince Claus Awards speech was delivered by Carlos Fuentes from Mexico.
