SYDNEY, February 2: The launch of NBC Universal International Television Distribution’s Heroes on Seven Network this week delivered a whopping 57-percent share with 2.1 million viewers, the broadcaster’s highest audience for a drama debut since Lost premiered two years ago.

Heroes is the number one regular program for the year to date, Seven said, beating Nine’s 1 vs 100 by more than 150,000 viewers. It won its time slot across all demos, with a 63 percent share in 16-39, 60 percent in 18 to 49 and 57 percent in 25 to 54.

With Prison Break following the Heroes premiere, Seven won Wednesday night with a prime-time share of 38.8 percent, versus 22.1 percent for Nine Network and 18.8 percent for TEN. Prison Break, in its second season, delivered 1.22 million viewers and a 47-percent share.
