Naturopathic Doctors (ND) are primary care doctors trained in the use of natural therapies. They use the art and science of individualized health care to go beyond superficial symptoms, to find and treat the root cause of the illness. We are guided by a distinct philosophy:

The Healing Power of Nature (Vis Medicatrix Naturae)
Naturopathic Doctors work with the natural healing ability of each person's body to bring about an optimum state of wellness.

First Do Not Harm (Primum Non Nocere)
The approaches used in treatment are safe, non-invasive, and minimize the risks of side effects.

Find the Cause (Tolle Causam)
Symptoms are merely the body's way of telling us that there is a disease present. Naturopathic Doctors specialize in finding, treating and eliminating the cause of disease. Once the cause is gone, the symptoms go away.

Treat the Whole Person (Tolle Totem)
Because each person experiences illness in a different way, Naturopathic Doctors individualize treatments to bring about a person's optimum state of health.

Prevention (Prevenir)
While illness and disease can be successfully treated, Naturopathic Doctors focus on preventing illness from occurring in the first place.

Physician as Teacher (Docere)
The definition of Doctor is Teacher. One of the primary goals of a Naturopathic Doctor is to educate their patients on how to become and stay healthy.
