The College of Arts and Sciences is where the liberal arts experience begins for undergraduates. Students choose from over 2,200 courses in 70 concentrations through 23 departments covering humanities, mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and the social sciences to secure the foundation of their education at Boston University.


  • Renowned faculty includes: 3 Nobel laureates, 3 American Academy of Arts and Letters members, and 15 American Academy of Arts and Sciences members.
  • Combined BA/MA program for talented undergraduates lets students begin work on a master's degree in their junior year.
