Air Gear
Volume 1
The best way to understand Air Gear is to imagine that you’re sixteen and you’ve just gotten your driver’s license. For your first solo drive, you open the top of your convertible and let the wind blow in your face as you ponder the infinite possibilities that have just opened up to you. Air Gear manages to capture that feeling of joyful freedom and turn it into a truly enjoyable series about being young, headstrong and invincible.
Anime hits iTunes
If you've been waiting and waiting for some anime to show up on Apple's iTunes Store, today's your lucky day. A section for FUNimation Channel shows has opened up, allowing fans to download (either a la carte or in full season runs) episodes of Samurai 7, Speed Grapher and Desert Punk. Single English-dubbed episodes will run you $1.99 and can be viewed on your computer, iPod or -- when available -- AppleTV.
FUNimation is the latest company to throw its hat into the download ring, and the first to offer programming via Apple's popular service. ADV Films, Bandai, Central Park Media and others have offered their programming for download via other services, like ADV Universe, AnimeVillage, Amazon Unbox and Google Video.
