Jeff Holt Scratches at Finger Lake

IDITAROD XXXV MUSHER Jeff Holt, (Bib #65) made the decision to scratch at Finger Lake, in the Alaska Range at 5:03 this evening (March 05, 2007). The 46 year musher from North Pole Alaska said he was approaching Finger Lake when he felt a sharp pain, extreme discomfort and blacked out. Holt was able to drive his team to Finger Lake. He was evaluated by race officials and Holt made the decision to scratch at that time. Holt and his team were transported from Finger Lake.
