Slovjanskaj uses two scripts: Latin and Cyrillic. They have one to one correspondence. Here IPA is used to describe the sound values of the letters and their correspondence.

Latin script:

  • Aa - [a] / [ɑ]
  • Bb - [b]
  • Cc - [ʦ]
  • Čč or Cxcx - [ʧ]
  • Dd - [d]
  • Ee - [ɛ]
  • Ff - [f]
  • Gg - [g] / [ɦ]

  • Jj - [j]
  • ' - [ʲ]

In case the writer is forced to use ascii the listed digraphs are used to substitute for non-ascii characters.

Some characters from Cyrillic scripts of natural Slavic languages are written with two letters because they represent two sounds:

  • Ё - Jo / Йо
  • Є - Je / Йе
  • Ї - Ji / Йи
  • Ю - Ju / Йу
  • Я - Ja / Йа
  • Щ - Šč / Шч or Št / Шт
