There is new information about the murder of Bryan Kocis in Dallas Township last week. Investigators believe Kocis knew his attacker.
Court papers reveal Kocis was stabbed 28 times and slashed in the neck. The papers also show that after the murder, the victim's home in the Back Mountain was set on fire.
The court papers also revealed there was no forcible entry into the victim's home. A folding-style knife was found where the fire was set.
Police say Kocis ran a nationwide gay pornography business from his home. They say the pornography business and Kocis's past are keys to solving the crime.
In 2001, Kocis was arrested and pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a minor.
According to court papers, investigators are trying to get Kocis' phone records in the hope of finding out who he was in contact with before his death.
So far police have not named any suspects in the case.
