In honor of the start of Black History Month at Northern Kentucky University, student organizations and vendors set up a marketplace in the University Center lobby. On Feb. 1 the "Marketplace Celebration" allowed vendors to sell different types of custom-made jewelry, baskets and artwork.

Deans say law final exam invalid

More than two months after fall semester's final exams finished, Salmon P. Chase College of Law Torts I students are still talking about their final grades - and so is the entire law school. After their final exam was deemed invalid by the law school's deans, students in Edward Brewer's section of Torts I, a first-year class in the law school, were given one of three options: keep their final grade, retake the exam or take a pass for the course.

Comedy Central's "Two for Flinching College Tour" will be coming to Northern Kentucky University. The event, which features comedians Christian Finnegan, Nick Thune and Joe Derosa, is hosted by the Office of Student Life and the Activities Programming Board.

They make me sick. All of the people that come to work and school sick, that is. I know it sounds harsh, but literally, they make me sick. And they make other people sick too. I know that many people probably don't want to miss work because there is just too much for them to do and they don't want to burden others by having them cover for them.

Sibling rivalry isn't a problem for brother and sister Billy and Keri Finnell. They're both juniors, have been playing basketball since grade school, and now they both play for Northern Kentucky University's basketball program. Billy is the starting point guard for the men's basketball team and has made a large contribution to the program.

Callers have potty mouths In follow up to the recent article on cell phone use in the classroom, I feel compelled to continue this train of thought to the restrooms on campus. Like everyone, I go the restroom to relieve myself, not to have someone in Siberia hear me go tinkle.
