...it is one of the best books available on prostate cancer.... It is excellent and a recommended buy."
This book is a must read for anyone with the diagnosis of prostate cancer, or those with a strong family history of this disease. It should be required for all physicians who treat male patients, including urologists and oncologists. The only drawback is the excessive use of acronyms. It is very disconcerting to have to constanly look up what these initials stand for.
If you only read one book about prostate cancer, The Primer is the one you ought to choose. Written by a highly qualified medical oncologist, it's loaded with information that you aren't likely to get from your own physician. (They don't have the time, and most don't have experience equal to Dr. Strum's.)I wish I had read it twenty years ago.
This book is very comprehensive regarding the subject. It is an excellent reference for anyone who has a personal interested in this disease. Though it has a more clinical presentation of information, it was not hard to understand. The statistics are very straightforward, making this a good tool for making decisions regarding treatment.
Very complete, comprehensive, easy to read, research based, easy to find information. Helpful to have something so clear and factual in the terrible time when you are first diagnosed. It has been a while now, and treatments are done, but we still refer to this book for information. It is awesome how so much can be put into such a small book.

The best book I have ever read and understand, March 12, 2006
This is an excellent book I have ever read on prostate cancer. Because it is easy to understand. There are some other books on the subject but when you read them it is very difficult to understand. In other words, it is also easy for layman to understand this book. While reading a book if you understand most of what the book says you get pleasure. As is known, medical language is a highly technical language, it is not easy to understand such language. But this book solves the language problems and the reader can easily understand most of the book if he is a careful reader. I would like to thank both the authors and the publisher to publish such a good book to help people like me.
Thanks for your valuable help
