What is NES?

NES is cooperation among a group of countries and organisations to facilitate the practical use of electronic collaboration in the procurement chain, based on available international standards. The initiative comprises representation from both government and industry.

The main aim of NES is to facilitate the establishment of a common platform for e-procurement among its members, and through this to:
  • facilitate interoperability and practical use of e-procurement in both domestic and cross border trade
  • facilitate harmonisation of different types of e-procurement documents
  • contribute to the development and use of an international standard for e-procurement.
