WrestleMania 24 is coming to the city of Orlando. New's 13 John Handiboe confirmed the professional wrestling giant WWE plans to make an official announcement Wednesday morning.

The wrestling extravaganza will take place in the spring of 2008, at the Florida Citrus Bowl, sources explained to entertainment reporter John Handiboe.

However, the Central Florida Sports Commission will only say they are holding a press conference to announce a major international event that will attract more than 70,000 visitors from around the world.

The commission says after six months of negotiations it will be a five day event within the Central Florida Region bringing significant branding opportunities and television coverage.

News 13 has also learned that dignitaries from World Wrestling Entertainment were in Orlando at the beginning of the year to tour the Amway Arena and Citrus Bowl.

The commission says Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, John Saboor, President of the Central Florida Sports Commission and sports leaders will attend the press conference at the Orlando City Hall Rotunda. The announcement is scheduled for Wednesday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m.

This year, WrestleMania 23 will be held in Detroit Sunday, April 1.
