The Buffalo News reports that the Bills were scheduled to entertain free-agent running back Michael Turner of the San Diego Chargers, but Turner encountered airline travel problems and was forced to postpone his visit to Buffalo. Turner is expected to reschedule his trip to Buffalo. |

Disgruntled linebacker Lance Briggs will not be moving from the Bears to the Washington Redskins, according to the Chicago Tribune. The Bears rejected the Redskins' offer to send their No. 6 overall pick of the NFL draft to the Bears in exchange for Briggs and the 31st pick. The Bears were unwilling to part with Briggs for that deal and the Redskins were unwilling to increase their offer. |

The Vikings signed free agent Mike Doss to a one-year, $1 million contract. According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Doss, who had 42 starts and seven interceptions in four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, said that he likes the direction in which the Vikings are headed.
