Benefits

Invite a guest

Qantas Club lounge

You are welcome to invite family, friends or colleagues to join you in the lounge.

If you're flying domestically on Qantas, QantasLink or Jetstar within Australia, and on Qantas within New Zealand, you may bring one guest to join you in a Qantas Club lounge. Platinum Frequent Flyers are welcome to invite two guests. Your guests do not need to be travelling.

When visiting an international Qantas Club lounge, you are able to invite one guest each time you visit. Both you and your guest need to be travelling together further that day on a Qantas or British Airways flight. Platinum Frequent Flyers and their guest are welcome in the lounge, even when not travelling on Qantas or British Airways.

Children in lounges

Our lounges are places where our members can relax and unwind or keep on working. We ask that children, including Platinum or Gold Frequent Flyers, under the age of 18 years, are accompanied by an adult and that they are closely supervised.

Children may be asked to leave if their behaviour is disruptive. We also ask that children do not enter the Business Centre areas or operate any equipment in the lounges or Business Centres. In Qantas Club lounges, children are not counted as guests if aged three and under. Children are usually welcome in our partner lounges.

Priority reservations & waitlisting

Our Qantas Club priority reservations service ensures you always get our most experienced operators and the most efficient service when booking a Qantas flight. Members are given priority on fully booked Qantas flights when travelling on a paid ticket and where waitlisting is possible. Please note, that waitlisting is not available on most discounted Economy airfares.

Dedicated check-in

To help avoid queues, members may use The Qantas Club priority check-in areas available at most airports. If there is no dedicated Qantas Club check-in, you may check in at the Business counter before any Qantas flight, regardless of your fare class. You must be travelling on a Qantas operated service with a Qantas flight number. If only carrying hand luggage, and travelling on a Qantas* or Jetstar^ marketed and operated flight, you can also check in at any major domestic Australian or New Zealand Qantas Club lounge.

Note: Lounge check-in for Jetstar is 40 minutes before departure. If you arrive within 40 minutes of scheduled departure, go directly to the Jetstar check-in counter. You need to check-in for Jetstar flights at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure otherwise your ticket will be forfeited. No refund or free transfer is available. You will be required to book and pay for a new ticket if you wish to travel.

QuickCheck

If you have carry-on baggage only you can use our QuickCheck Kiosks. Simply locate the QuickCheck Kiosks inside the lounge, check-in and collect your boarding pass. QuickCheck Kiosks are available in Qantas Club domestic lounges in Sydney,# Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra.

* Qantas operated Jet flights with a 'QF' flight number on your ticket. Includes Qantaslink services operated by turboprop (Dash 8's) and Jet services (B717-200 and BaE146's).
^ Jetstar only operates in Australia.
#Currently available in Terminal 3 only, servicing flights QF400-QF1599.

Internationally, you may take an extra 10kg of baggage or, on flights between Australia and North America, an extra piece of baggage.* Domestically, you may take an extra 10kg of baggage in New Zealand and one extra piece of baggage in Australia.^ Please keep in mind that size and weight limits still apply for baggage on all flights.*
