Canon Digital Rebel XTi
Canon's new Digital Rebel XTi has a 10-megapixel self-cleaning sensor, a bigger (2.5") and brighter LCD monitor with a 160° viewing angle, and 3 frames-per-second shooting with 27-frame burst capabilities. The Digital Rebel XT and Digital Rebel XTi can use the same accessories, so you can upgrade the body of your camera without having to replace everything else.

Pioneer PDP-5070HD
Pioneer has a "Plasma Persuasion" page on its web site with advice on how to "sell your spouse on HDTV." But their latest 50" plasma practically sells itself, with its deep blacks, accurate color decoding, and outstanding image quality. The TV has tons of inputs (including PC), dual-tuner PIP, and comes with detachable bottom speakers and a table stand.

Archos 604 Portable Video Player
Why would anyone want to watch movies on an iPod's 2.5" display? You won't have to squint with the Archos 604, a new portable multimedia player with a 4.3" screen. The Archos 604 has a 30GB hard drive that will hold up to 30 movies, 300,000 photos, or 15,000 songs. You can look at your photos and listen to music at the same time, and even turn it into a DVR with the optional DVR Station.

Watch the rest of the NBA playoffs on this 50" Panasonic plasma TV. CNET gave it high marks for its stylish design, deep blacks, excellent shadow detail, and antiglare screen. The TV has a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 (enough for 720p HDTV), ATSC tuner (but no CableCard), and lots of inputs, including an SD card slot for viewing your photos on the big screen. But look elsewhere if you must have PC connectivity or picture-in-picture.

The Mac Mini has some competition in the AcerPower 1000, a compact desktop with a petite (sub-$500) price tag. Granted, it's not as cute as the Mac Mini, but if cute is that important to you, you can always pick up a Hello Kitty mouse pad.
