Since Bush is not ready yet to actually ask Americans to make a sacrifice themselves, either by joining up, or paying for this debacle now instead of passing the cost down a couple of generations. I think we need some patriotic Americans to put on nice, official-looking khaki uniforms and go round working as "Citizen Recruiters", whose job would be signing up volunteers for Bush's war. Naturally, the high schools are being picked over pretty good, so our CR Squad would hang out at Young Republican meetings, White House Intern parties, Congressional staff meetings, Bush Twin drinking sessions, Jonah Goldberg's front lawn, etc, and hand out enlistment papers so that the fine young folks pushing the war might have the opportunity to jump in and lend a hand.
So anybody want to be a uh, er, intern.. and take care of this for me?
... and of course we'll take video of all that and put it on the web -- this part I can handle.

I am an active duty soldier stationed in Europe and I would love to see Toby Keith in uniform. At least then he could make millions of dollars with his stupid ass "american soldier" song while actually doing something for his country. He did a series of shows in Europe last month to entertain the troops, some entertainment...

Jonah could almost certainly enlist without fear. I don't care how hard up they are, the Army wouldn't let his sorry ass get blown off in Iraq. He'd end up in some Pentagon propaganda office somewhere, putting out the press lies on the next Jessica Lynch or Pat Tillman and generally doing the same thing he does now (except for less pay).
