PLACER COUNTY Auburn State Recreation Area

Project: River and park cleanup, graffiti removal, installation of information kiosks and iron rangers.
Location: Meet at the Old Foresthill Bridge, Old Foresthill Road, just off Hwy 49 at the Confluence of the North Fork and Middle Fork American Rivers; approximately 2 miles south of Auburn down Hwy 49.
Time: 8:00am – 1:00pm
Volunteers: 150
Bring: Layers, long pants, gloves, sun protection, snacks, water.

SACRAMENTO COUNTY
Folsom Lake State Recreation Area

Project: Removing vegetation and restoring the view of the historic Folsom Powerhouse After Bay. Rehabilitating the Powerhouse Canal Trail. Location: Negro Bar unit of Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. Greenback Lane near Folsom Auburn Road, Folsom.
Time: 8:00am – 1:00pm
Volunteers:100-150
Bring: Long-sleeve shirts, pants, and boots. Sunscreen, bug repellant and hat.

Robla Park - Sacramento Bike Trail

Project: Mulching trees and cleaning up abandoned camping sites, man-made debris, and removing invasive star thistle and other non-native plant species.

Volunteers: 300
Bring: Wear boots, tennis shoes, or other closed-toed shoes. Apply sunscreen, wear a hat, and layered natural fabric clothing (denim or khaki is a great choice). Long pants and sleeves will provide maximum comfort and protection from the sun. Bring work gloves and a water bottle, if possible.

Project: Planting native grasses, renovating park irrigation system, removing invasive plants, and cleaning up host area.
Location: From I-80 (either direction) take the Harbor Blvd exit north for 1.5 miles to confluence with CR 22 (Old River Rd). Travel north on Old River Rd for 6.5 miles to park entry. From I-5 (either direction) take the CR 22 exit (Old River Rd). Travel south on Old River Rd for 1.8 miles to park entry. Look for welcome signs along Old River Rd near park entry.
Time: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Volunteers: 75
Bring: Work clothes, gloves, boots and sunscreen. Hand trowels/garden spades, shovels, pitch forks and rakes, if possible.
