BS says "Its done. I have now a more or less stable DD-WRT running on a Mikrotik RB532A with 6 Minipci Atheros CM9 cards. its fully running on Linux 2.6 Kernel base with many new unseen features as well as the well known old one from the v23 SP1 Series"

Could u pls supply some more info on this new project ? What is it all about? Some highlights.
Thx.

http://www.routerboard.com/

RB/532A 'RouterBOARD 532' with MIPS CPU, 64 MB DDR RAM, three LAN, two MiniPCI, 128MB NAND Storage with RouterOS Level 4 (Wireless AP support), full voltage power support, daughterboard connector - 180$

RB/564 'RouterBOARD 564 Daughterboard' with four mini PCI slots and 6 10/100 MDI-X ethernet ports $100

CA/IN3 RB500 Indoor case for use with daughterboard (6 holes) $25

+ 6 MiniPCI-Cards

Sound like a not very cheap mega AP.

Got the feeling that this could be something new and corner stone for the wi-fi community.
Thx for replying.

I really like the look of this.

What kind of Mini PCI cards does it support? I guess there would be a generic firmware that has a few cards, the rest would be custom?

We have been using 532 boards with the native mikrotik OS that comes embedded on them for quite some time. These are rock solid platforms with terrific expandability. The mikrotik OS that comes with them provides more functionality that all of us together could imagine. The reason im excited to see how DD-WRT works with it is that it simplifys the device to a level that a non-technical end user could user it easy enough. So, when do you think the code will be posted for it? Looking forward to trying it out.
