Fun Facts
Like all marsupials, Matschie's tree kangaroos have a fairly brief gestation period (about 32 days) and give birth to a very small, poorly developed offspring, which climbs into the pouch and remains there for about 10 months.

Matschie's tree kangaroos move with agility in trees and can leap downward several yards to another tree or the ground. When they descend a tree more slowly, they back down.
