PI Bill Habermann is back in his hometown, a prosperous suburb west of Chicago that he barely recognizes anymore, engaged in yet another case of marital infidelity. He soon discovers, though, that this case has opened the door to a killing from Habermann's time in Vietnam, a death that has followed him home after all these years.
