Jody Hamilton first appeared in Georgia as the Assassin in November 1961, and the following month he was joined by Tom Renesto, forming a team that would stay together for the next thirteen years.  Though they traveled all over the globe, they were Georgia fixtures over the years, mostly between 1968 and 1974, when they actually had their first feud with each other for the All-South Wrestling Alliance.  Together, they were considered one of the best tag teams in the history of the business, and were one of the most dominant teams on the Georgia scene for years under the Georgia Championship Wrestling banner.  They held several titles here together, including the Georgia Tag Team belts, the US Tag Team championship, and the local version of the World Tag Team Title.  They were in many notable feuds over the years, but the ones involving the Kentuckians and the team of Ray Gunkel and Buddy Fuller were arguably the most brutal.
