ANN Part 9

Filed under: All Night Nippon, Hana Yori Dango 2 — Lily @ 12:41 pm

Four pages…

O: Now, our special guest, Matsumoto Jun-kun has an announcement to make.
J: Okay. It’ll take about an hour though.
O: Please don’t take up the whole hour.
J: Okay, so… today, technically yesterday, on January 21, Arashi will released its 18th single, Love so Sweet.
J: Thank you all your support!
O: Congratulations!!
J: There’s the song called Fight Song in the limited first edition, and in the normal edition… let’s just say there’s a nice surprise. Please enjoy them.
O: So basically you’re asking for people to buy both, aren’t you?
J: Let’s not go there. Actually, if we want to talk about that, I heard this is selling out fast! Sorry to continue in that direction, but people from the record label are all ecstatic about it.
O: I see.
J: They’re saying stuff like “we’ve got to make more CDs now, or we’ll run out!”
O: We put that song on this show often, too.
J: Oh really? Thank you very much.
O: And isn’t there more?
J: Yes. In April… Sorry, I mean, we starred in a movie for the first time in a while. It’s called Yellow Tears, directed by Inudo Isshin. It’s suppose to be released at Tokyo Globe Theater on April 4 first, followed by theaters across the country like Ebisu Garden tehater. Please come see it!
O: When does this movie take place in?
J: It’s… showa 38 (1963). There’s been a lot of movies that take place in the Showa period. Uh… I guess we’re following the trend a bit, but this one is based on a manga by Nigashima Shinji. We decided to do this movie after the director was inspired by the manga and various TV dramas, and our wish to star in a movie. Please enjoy it.
O: And there’s more??
J: Arashi will be doing dome concerts for the first time!
O: First time?
J: Yes. We’ve been to domes for CDTV, but it’s the first time we’re doing it by ourselvves.
[ I’m guessing countdown refers to CDTV, a music show much like VH1? ]
J: We’re doing this as an add-on finale to our Asia Dome Tour. It’ll be in the Kyo-Sara Dome in Osaka on April 21 and 22, and then we’ll do it at Tokyo Dome on April 29 and 30.
J: Also, we did concerts in Taiwan and Korea last year, and it was the first time we did one overseas so we included all the songs from the past 8 years. It’s our 8th anniversary this year. So we sang all the major songs from the last 8 years, starting with Arashi Arashi to more recent ones. We also included the funny jokes from the past concerts, and it’s almost like our best concert collection. We did that on New Year this year and…
O: Oh, I saw that.
J: Thank you very much. So this one’s like an add-on concert to that.
J: Tickets will go on sale starting March 3rd. Please come even if you’ve been to our concerts before. So if you feel like coming, even for a second, please do!
O: Please go see their concert everyone. And this is the fight song that you said is only included in the first edition, right?
J: Fight song, yep. This is the first time we made the song ourselves. All 5 of us made the lyric, and Nino made the melody. Please listen to our Fight Song.

  7. Spica: the thing about this is, I can put the radio show on my music player and I can translate without using the computer. It’s a new type of experiment for me, listening and writing out the translation with minimal rewinds. I’m trying to see how many pages a 2-hr translation will take… that’s why I’ve been keeping track of pages.
