CRADLE OF FILTH To Film Video For 'Mannequin' - June 3, 2003
CRADLE OF FILTH's U.S. record label, Red Ink/Epic Records, has commissioned a new conceptual video for the group's new album, "Damnation and a Day", this time for the sinister, romantic track "Mannequin". The clip, which will be helmed by celebrated video director Thomas Mignone (MUDVAYNE, SLIPKNOT, TYPE O NEGATIVE, SEPULTURA, KITTIE, etc.), begins shooting on June 11 and will combine "live" performance footage with macabre Tim Burton-esque, stop-motion puppeteer work courtesy of George Higham (www.poepuppet.com). "Mannequin" will display the grandiose imagery singular to CRADLE OF FILTH's style.

CRALDE OF FILTH were the first 'black metal' band to sign with a major label (Sony Music worldwide), and they were the first 'black metal' band to have a full-length video land in the Billboard video charts (debuting at #12, and remaining for 7 weeks). CRADLE OF FILTH's well-versed and highly articulated lyrics were featured in the London Dome as part of a British language special, the band had a BBC Television program made about them, and they have sold over a million albums worldwide.

CRADLE OF FILTH will headline Ozzfest's second stage this year, beginning on June 28 in San Antonio, Texas. In addition to Ozzfest, the band has booked a headlining tour (sponsored by Guitar World magazine), which will run alongside the roaming festival.

Headline performances include:

Jun. 23 - New Orleans, LA @ House Of Blues
Jun. 24 - Houston, TX @ Engine Room
Jun. 25 - McAllen, TX @ Villa Real

Funny becuase COF aren't black metal, at all. Its just goth shock rock. Anybody that argues with me that it isn't is a moron. COF were Blackened Death on their demos and a little on Principal... but that is it.

Gian and Dani are still friends. Gian just didn't like all the glamor and shit, so he just went on to other activities, thats all.
