Scotch Oakburn College is a co-educational Uniting Church school catering for 1,100 students on two campuses in Launceston and the Education Outdoors Campus in the beautiful Fingal Valley, 1.5 hours from Launceston, Tasmania. The Boarding House is situated on picturesque grounds surrounded by beautiful gardens and century old oak trees, within the Elphin Road campus of the College.
55 students can be accommodated in the spacious and homely Boarding House, with girls and boys coming from Tasmania's country regions and from overseas.
The College provides, to girls and boys of diverse abilities, backgrounds and talents, high quality tuition in a wide range of subjects. It provides the opportunity to participate in wide range of cultural pursuits, constructive recreations and many forms of sport while endeavoring to develop personal character, leadership and sense of community spirit. The College also aims to develop individuals who are appreciative of cultural diversity and sensitive to environmental needs.
