The present A1 in London

The present A1 runs along the following roads, from South to North:

• Aldersgate Street EC1
• Goswell Road EC1, to Angel
• Upper Street N1, to Highbury Corner

• i.e. Holloway Road N7 and N19, to Highgate
• Archway Road, N19

Here it originally continued North up the Great North Road (now A1000), but the present A1 runs West, along

• Aylmer Road N2
• Lyttleton Road N2
• Falloden Way NW11

After a short distance it forks right onto the Great North Way NW4 to Hendon. There is an overpass onto the M1 and it continues as the Barnet By-Pass

• Watford Way NW7
• Barnet Way NW7
