The Australian Council of Trade Unions is the legal owner of this web site.
This privacy statement applies to the Web site known as ACTU Online with a home page address of www.actu.asn.au. ACTU is the sole owner of the information collected on ACTU Online.

The purpose of this statement is to let you know what information is collected about you when you visit ACTU Online, how this information is used, to whom it is disclosed, and your ability to have any incorrect personal information amended.

The Information Collected
A plain language description of the information that is collected. The ACTU site collects two types of information.
The first type is anonymous information. The web server managed by Alpha Dot Net [http://www.alpha.net.au/] makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes:

- the date and time of the visit to the site,

The safety of children is very important to us. Whilst ACTU makes every reasonable effort to ensure that children's privacy and other rights are not compromised, it is ultimately the responsibility of parents to monitor their children's Internet usage.
